We advised McCarthy & Stone on the acquisition of a 1.7 acre former hotel site adjacent to a Tesco Store on a subject to planning basis. This included all the financial negotiations and the detailed terms of sale. Our clients subsequently obtained planning permission for a 56 unit Retirement Plus (Assisted Living) apartment scheme, completed the purchase and commenced the development.
We introduced to McCarthy & Stone and advised on the acquisition of land for two phases of development comprising 8 acres in total for Retirement Living and Retirement Living Plus (Assisted Living) apartments and bungalows together with age-restricted affordable housing. The development is located close to Waitrose and other local facilities on the affluent south west side of Norwich in a much sought-after location.
We advised Tesco on land comprising 6.5 acres adjacent to the new inner ring road serving the town, including an element suitable for sheltered housing. We assisted in obtaining consent for a Class C2 development and then undertook a full marketing exercise prior to the site being sold to LNT Care Homes for a 60 unit care home development. Additional parcels were separately sold for other forms of development.
We were appointed by the landowners Boulton Paul Investments Ltd to sell this popular key landmark 1.4-acre Lichfield City centre site located close to the Cathedral. Working closely with Lichfield District Council planning team and our client we selected a retirement housing provider and have exchanged contracts for the sale conditional on the purchaser obtaining planning for a scheme of retirement living apartments.
