The constantly evolving foodstore sector is experiencing continuing change with increasing discounter interest, online trading activity, greater competitiveness and operating cost awareness, and a desire to explore new formats, (smaller and infill stores, “dark” stores, strategic online “pick up” shop units), and resultant subletting opportunities and surplus car park redevelopments.
